Sanity has prevailed in the Malawi parliament as govt has backtracked to its earlier announcement to withdraw the revised 2012 13 bugdet. The announcement that led to chaos and adjournment of the house early. Speaking to journalists at a night press conference, minister of finance Ken Lipenga said the withdraw was not a new arrangement and constitution stipulates that committee of supply can be done anytime.
But, he however, said ministry officials are in a process to bring a new document that will stipulate the revised figures . As business commenced today, leader of the house Henry Phoya told the house that the supplementary budget is being prepared and is expected to be presented next week
