Five police vehicles at 5.30 am of Monday, 27 January 2014, stormed former Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara’s Lilongwe residence. He denied them entry saying he was still asleep. At 7.30am he met them and they showed him a warrant of arrest for money laundering.
Just few minutes after the arrest of former justice Minister Raphael Kasambara, SC, this blogger understands that he is back to his house. This comes as police are working on another warrant of arrest. According to a police source, they have wrongly spelled his name on the document instead of recording Rapheal Kasambara they had put Ralph Kasambara on which Kasambara has challenged them. He rebuffed them, saying he was not the one whose name was on the warrant of arrest. This turn of events saw the police officers returning without their suspect. Police are currently working on another warrant and the might pick him anytime soon.
